I wanted to share my journal entry from January 8th with you all. The Lord changed my heart and filled it with love and compassion.

As I sit here and stare out the window, I see millions of people walk by. People walking into the shopping center having conversations with friends or loved ones, or simply pondering thoughts alone. The streets are busy with the hustle of traffic. Street food filling the air with “different” smells. Men carrying flowers, men reading the newspaper, men with their children or wives. Men having a guys trip to Bangkok. You can see adventure on their faces. Older men sitting in bars just observing the surroundings around them. There are men everywhere.

After venturing through two different RedLight Districts, I asked The Lord to soften my heart towards every man I made eye contact with, especially tourist. I know in my heart they are not all here for the same thing. These men are all not going to fulfill this sin from women who are throwing themselves at them to make a living. I kept telling myself this. I didn’t want to believe it. It was breaking my heart.

As every guy walks past, Father I ask that you would protect their hearts. Father, give them compassion and love. Show them that they are staring face to face with His daughters. Start a stirring in their hearts to look to You for love and not their fleshly desires.

Isn’t that what most of them are searching for? Someone to say they are worth it. That they are loved and to fill those hurts of their past. Father, speak to them and tell them how much You love them. Show them their worth, their value in who You created them to be. They are warriors. They are destined for greatest and deserve the best love, this unconditional love that comes from You.

They are in the middle of a war zone here in Bangkok. They are caught up in the darkness and the lies, but Lord you showed us that Your angles are all around, they just can’t see it. So I pray. I pray that every man walking through the RedLight District and the streets of this city come to know you Lord. I pray that someone seeks them out to share the gospel with them. To tell them that You, papa, are worth it and You will fight for them. They no longer have to be held captive. They are free. Their chains are broken. This sin is no longer apart of their life.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. ||Galatians 1:5

Join me in prayer for these men who are caught up in this deadly sin. A sin that rules their lives and they are held captive towards. Our God is so powerful and can break any sin and set us free!!
