A lot of people have been asking me what countries I will be traveling to on the Race. Although these can be changed at any time the route that I chose was route 3. I chose it partly because I knew that some countries I wasn’t super excited about. I have three countries that I long to go to and only one of them are on that list. I did this so that I could be stretched and challenged in a way that I might not ever experience in my own travels. So here it is the 11 countries that I will be traveling to…

Month 1 (September 2014): Haiti

Starting close to home! I am really excited about Haiti. When I was in a program called Youth Call we were supposed to spend 3 months in Uganda and then 3 months in Haiti. God had other plans but Haiti has still been on my list of countries that I long to go too! It’s the first country and is one of the countries that I get to cross of my list of ones I want to visit.

Month 2 (October 2014): Bolivia

I actually don’t know much about Bolivia at all. But I am super excited to get to know it better. South America has never really interested me but I have a feeling that I am going to really enjoy my three months living there.

Month 3 (November 2014): Peru

About two months ago I got a weird feeling that I wanted to go to Peru. I do not know much about Peru either other than Krochet Kids has a headquarters there. I am excited to see why I had a desire to go there and see all the beauty.

Month 4 (December 2014): Ecuador

Christmas in Ecuador! Ecuador is going to be amazing. I love the story of Jim Elliot with the people of Ecuador. He lived a legacy and I cannot wait to meet the people and experience the culture there. It’s weird that I am actually most excited about the S.A. countries compared to when I first picked this route.

Month 5 (January 2015): Malawi

Bringin’ in 2015 on my favorite continent. Not only that but the country that is known as the “warm heart of Africa.” I am excited to experience other African countries and see the ways they are similar and different from Uganda. I am also excited to learn another African language.

Month 6 (February 2015): Zambia

My church takes mission trips to Zambia many times a year so I am excited to see the country that my church family loves. Africa has a special place in my heart so in general I am excited to see other parts of Africa.

Month 7 (March 2015): Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe, the third and final African country of the Race. It’ll be hard to leave Africa I am sure but I am blessed to be able to spend three months there.

Month 8 (April 2015): Thailand

I went to Thailand back in May of 2013 but I am excited to go back and spend some more time there. I got to do a lot of tourist stuff when I went but I am really looking forward to ministry. I am not sure exactly what ministry will entail but I hope that I get to work in the Red Light District. Human Trafficking is really close to my heart and I am excited to see the opportunities to serve these people.

Month 9 (May 2015): Malaysia

Ever since Uganda I have been so interested in the Islamic culture. It’s a fascinating religion and I love learning more about the religions of the world. Malaysia is an Islamic country so I am looking forward to building relationships with them. Malaysia is another country that I wasn’t excited about but I am looking forward to what God is going to do in my heart there.

Month 10 (June 2015): Vietnam

When I was in Southeast Asia in May 2013 I was really hoping to make it to Vietnam. No particular reason but to just see the culture. Needless to say I am excited to finally get to experience it.

Month 11 (July 2015): Cambodia

Final month and what a lovely place to end! I am looking forward to Cambodia. Some of my favorite people have lived there and I am excited to see all their descriptions of the country come to life. I heard the Cambodian people are so lovely. This is definitely one of the most anticipated months for me and I am happy to have it be the last month of my race.

Well there you have it. The 11 countries in the 11 months. I am so excited to share this journey with you all. Stay tuned for ways that you can help make it possible for me to reach everyone of these countries.
