Well, Ive been in Cambodia now for 2 weeks.
I can honestly say I am in constant awe of this actually being real life.
There are many moments (I have learned) on the race that this ‘life’ just doest seem real or even possible.
Yet here I am in Cambodia at The Shelter of Love, surrounded by children and doing life with them.
Submerged in the center of their world her blessed to share meals with them, teach them english, attend their nightly bible studies, play games, giggle and laugh with them.
Oh and of course love on them as much as possible.

Our days here are long, and filled to the max. I usually can barely keep my eyes open past the 8 o’clock bible study.   To say we put in a good days work is an understatement.

Here is a quick glimpse of our days…
6am – Spending solo time with Jesus. (Just me and him)
7am – Aperture Family Devos
8am – Construction. (We finished the wall and are on to a patio now)
1130 – Lunch
12-2 – Break
2 – Afternoon Ministry. (Music Lessons, Baking or Village Ministry)
4-5 – Break (usually Aperture Team time)
5ish – Dinner
7pm – Teaching English (I teach a class of 12+ newbies, their english is minimal)
8pm – Group Bible Study (Each house has their own)
After Bible Study – free time, aka do as little as possible and usually fall asleep doing it.

So our days are busy… Yes.
I however find myself cherishing the moments here. Every hand I get to hold, or hug I am blessed to receive.
I am thankful for the sweet laughter that fills the air as I walk from the kitchen to our building where we stay.
I even have grown to love the crowd control I get to play during my english class.
The children are full of energy and bursting with love.
Even when they forget what personal space is, I find them to be a pure joy.

Shelter of Love is planted here in Kampong Thom, Cambodia to raise up the next generation.
They are God centered and Kingdom focused.
I am reminded of Matthew 19:14

Jesus said ‘ Let the little children come to me,
and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.

I love this verse, and I love that I get to live it out her at the shelter.
