We met him two weeks when we went to the Mbutu Carepoint. He was standing alone in the middle of the yard with a long sleeve shirt on and with nothing on bottom. He joined us during the songs and stood alone on the side of the building. Candice picked him up and he was eager to be held and loved by her. As the day progressed we noticed he had wandered away from the group and was sitting alone in the middle of a field that was located behind the building. The food was served and we were focused on getting all the children fed and making sure that they had enough food and he still had not returned to the group. Candice and I went over to get him so that he could be fed and he was sleeping. He was sitting alone in the middle of this field with no pants on, alone and asleep.

It was so heartbreaking to see this precious little boy all alone and sleeping while sitting. He did come over and eat his meal. He has been on my heart ever since and when we arrived at Mbutu on Thursday afternoon he walked right up to our group. He just stood there looking at me with sad eyes and I picked him up and within 5 minutes he was asleep on my shoulder. I was smitten…

This precious little boy is named Sithembiso – he has been abandoned by his mother and father and is being raised by his grandmother. If I could, he would be coming back to the states with me, but that is not an option. God has given me a gift by holding and loving this precious little boy – I have been able to pray over him. I pray that he will grow to be a man who loves Jesus with all his heart, mind and soul. I pray that he will tell others about how much he loves our mighty God. He is too young to understand the bible stories we teach but I pray that God will grow him into a mighty and godly man who will lead others in Swaziland to Christ. Please pray for him also and the children that we meet everyday. That they will know our Father’s love.
Here are some more pictures so you can see how precious this little boy is…
