While working here in Thailand we have had the privilege to work with many different ministries.  It has been a full week or ministry working with prostitutes, teaching English, working with the children in the slums and finally preparing bible packets.

We have the privilege here in Thailand to minister to the Chinese population.  I never thought that while serving here in Thailand we could be working with a closed people group.  Southern Cross Project is working in Thailand and its goal is to put the Word of God in the hands of the Chinese people.  There are approximately 800,000 Chinese tourists who come through this country for tourism.  The Chinese people are allowed to bring 1 bible back into their own country.  This is a perfect opportunity to share the Word with these people.  We spent the day putting packets together with DVD’s and tracts and a bible all in Mandarin.

We had the privilege to prepare these and put them together to put directly in the hands  of the Chinese people.  This ministry is very practical and fruitful and we have been blessed to serve alongside the staff.  It is amazing to know that the Word of God is placed in the hands of these men and women and God promises that His word will not return to Him void.

Please pray for this ministry and pray that God will continue to open the hearts of the Chinese to receive the bibles that we offer.  Pray that God will use His word to change the lives of not only those who receive the bibles but their family and friends.  Pray that God will continue to draw these men and women to Himself and bring them to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us; may your ways be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.”
Psalm 67:1-5
