Hello Everyone – My name is Courtney Pearsall and I am from Wilmington, NC. I was raised in NC by my mom and dad who have been a huge support and encouragement all of my life. I am an only child (but please don’t hold that against me)

My heart for missions began at a young age. I accepted Christ when I was 12 years old and pretty much every summer after that I was serving with my church in short term mission projects from Georgia to Canada. I was so blessed to start off at a young age seeing God move and change people’s lives through missions. I attended our local university, University of North Carolina at Wilmington and received my degree in Social Work. During one summer break in college I spent 2 months overseas in Australia serving alongside a local church working with their youth group, family ministries and Young Life. In that place I learned so much about God and trusting Him in all things, stepping out of my box, teamwork, etc… the list could go on for ages. So I graduated college knowing my heart was set on serving the Lord either in ministry stateside or missions overseas. After college I headed back to the land down under for a 7 month work and holiday. I got a work visa and I worked for 4 months (that is all it allowed) and then had 3 month “holiday” as they call it. Traveling and enjoying that beautiful country.

I have been back in the states for about 2 1/2 years now and I have been working a regular 9-5 job in Customer Service. I currently lead a bible study for teen girls at my church and I am a Discussion Leader for BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). The Lord has really been laying on my heart for the last year in particular to step out in faith and serve Him in overseas missions. I heard about World Race through the children’s director at my church – she was researching family mission trips and recommended this one for me. Finally a few months later I just applied and I was accepted! It only can be from the Lord that I am on the April 07′ team and I am trusting Him for all that lies ahead. I look forward to serving Him in the tough places when things aren’t easy but he has promised to be faithful and hold us up. I look forward to seeing the joy in the people who will accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. And I can’t wait to see how God plans to use each of us to fulfill the Great Commission.

On a lighter not some of my favorite things are… hanging out with friends, laughing, reading, going to the beach, being outside, traveling, having new and random adventures, eating Mexican food or anything spicy. God Bless!

How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him (

whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without (

How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “(
