Its the beginning of May, you know what that means. College Graduation.
This year would have been the year I graduated with my BSN degree and probably landed some job at a big name hospital in Cleveland.
Sometimes I catch myself getting caught up in the what ifs …
But then I look at where I’m at… Chiang Mai, Thailand currently. I constantly catch myself pinching myself when I think about the reality of my life.
The other night I was traveling through Bangkok in the back of a pickup truck with a new team thinking
“WOW GOD LOOK WHERE YOU’VE TAKEN ME.”
Back in Nepal I was spending time with God and I asked him what our next step was together in our relationship and he said “Courtney, we are going to conquer some fears together” and showed me adventure: Skydiving, rock climbing, surfing, cage diving with sharks, hiking the PCT, hiking Machu Picchu, riding camels through Egypt to the pyramids, walking where Jesus walked in Jerusalem…. just to name a few. I could go on for days about what some of my adventure days have been like in South East Asia but that’s not what this is about.
I’m not sure if you guys know this but Jesus can take you on some pretty sick once in a lifetime adventures if you just say “YES“
Fun fact: I’m terrified of heights.
I’m getting over that fear by doing things that scare me.
For example, today, we ventured with our host to these waterfalls and I was under the full impression that we would be hiking to the falls for an hour then hanging down by the falls… but little did I know, we drove to the top of the falls and we were going to hike down them.
Now you must be thinking, “Courtney, how do you hike down waterfalls??” and I would reply by saying yes it required holding onto a rope and belaying yourself down a few cliffs. Heck yes I was scared and I moved as slow as a snail BUT I DID IT BY THE GRACE OF GOD.
Just another reminder to always say “YES”
