We listened to “You Make Me Brave” by Bethel the other day and it got me thinking.. (also my phone autocorrected Brave to Rave so… same thing.)

So side note: I’ve had the opportunity to step into a new leadership position as Lead Team Content Manager. This is a new position through Adventures In Missions to help encourage Racers to blog more. They needed someone who would be willing to handle pioneering the role with a go-with-the-flow, sassy attitude and I guess I was the right fit!!

The night after I got offered the position I watched Apollo 13

#remember

So I’m watching this until 1am, because Tom Hanks.. and I was like WOW astronauts are so strong and smart HOW DO THEY DO IT?!

Then my brain got all twisted up thinking

Courtney, what makes you think you can just take on this role, do you even know what you’re doing…

and for a second I was like

shoot, you’re right, what did I get myself into, I’m going to fail. Oh no what will dani think, and Uncle Seth I can’t let him down. LORD BE WITH ME.”

Then I remembered something learned a few years back.

You have to do life head on, all in, with full faith and trust that the Lord will take care of you.

You will find that life is a million times more exciting and worth living.

So what if I have to see how it goes through out this whole process, that’s life. You learn from every decision you make. I just need to make sure that I’m putting my trust in the creator of the universe, knowing he will be there to pick me up when I fall. I could be an astronaut if I wanted one day, but Lead Team Content Manager is what I’ll tackle now.

I would love your prayers as I step into this role! Prayers that I fully believe what I said in the sentences above throughout my time in this role for the rest of the race. I’m learning from my current Squad Content Manager (dani Izac) on what exactly I’ll be kind of, maybe, doing in this role. These are her last few weeks here before she flies back to the states… I’m hoping her humor and enthusiasm rubs off on me with each precious interaction.

Also, meet dani. She’s the S-Squad Content Manager, the only of her kind, she matches my weirdness and I made her a friendship bracelet named “brad” so I could say we are pretty tight.

Thanks for reading!!
