What to do after the race is over..

This is a question many racers struggle with. The concept of success in American society is getting some college degree that will bring you tons of income.

Well from a perspective of being on the race we just got done doing mission work around the world for a year without any sort of income. People usually come off the race pretty broke and lost to where their next step is.

I’m lucky enough to have a job waiting for me when I get home, working as a nurses aid on a neurology floor NOC shift…

Yah the money will be nice but I think I want something different.

Something life giving.

When I come home I’ll be seeking community. Just a solid group of broken people who find purpose in Jesus. People who will encourage me to love more like Jesus did, to treat everybody as equal and to seek the Lord in everything.

I want to learn more about the Bible. Before the race I never knew how to read the entire Bible in one year, it was dedication and direction that I lacked. We have a reading plan while on the race to read it all in 11 months and hey I’m a little behind on the reading plan but at least I’m being honest. It was a daunting task but helped me establish discipline in reading everyday. It helped me realize I wanted more, more knowledge about the Bible, to know more about WHO Jesus is.

I’m passionate about meeting people where they’re at and loving them fully as they are. I believe the Lord gave me the key to set souls free. I want women to find their worth in the love of Jesus, to know that Jesus can set them free from the bondage they live in.

If anybody reading this has any suggestions on programs I can look into let me know!! Until then I’m just going to keep leaning on the Lord for guidance and see where he wants to take me in this next phase of life after the race.
