Life Update about the WorldRace!

Sorry for the delay in updates!! Thank you to everyone who has helped support my fundraisers that have been going on!! I have now reached 44% of funding and am continuing to look for fundraisers locally….if anyone has any ideas please let me know so, I can get closer to my goal of being fully funded before September.

Also, If you would like to know how to support my journey please click on the How can you help link here.

Over the last couple weeks and even months it has been a whirlwind of emotions!! To say that God has turned MY plans upside down…that would be an understatement!! It has been everything from stressful, ecstatic, devastated, overjoyed, loss of control ( or at least for this control freak), peaceful, happy, cloud 9 and everything in between. You don’t want all the details… xoxo Gossip girl (fail). The most important thing is you can see God’s hand working at every turn of the journey.

I want to start by saying for those who don’t know the route of my trip has changed! The countries I will now be going to are tentatively the following: (this is 9 of the 11 countries) Guatemala, Nicaragua, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand/Burma, India, Nepal, Botswana, and Swaziland.

I have been asked several questions I have never even really thought about…What are you going to do about ____________? Literally fill in the blank I have been asked every question or at least feel like it! Ever since I have accepted going on the worldrace. I have been asked not only general questions about Who? What? Where? When? & Why? but every question and thought about leaving in between to prepare for this journey.

I think the main thing that I have learned from this is that it is important to focus on the strengths that you have been given and not focus on the weaknesses. It is EASY to think about all of the things you are going to leave behind, not be able to take in your pack or simply the unknown of how things are going to be once you are gone.

It isn’t about what you don’t know! Nobody is PERFECT! Have all the answers, etc. It is about how you use the talents you have been given to strengthen the communities you are going into while allowing the communities and teammates to be able to strengthen the weak areas that you are not as strong in! Allowing yourself to work together for the overall works of HIS kingdowm. & in the end learn from those experiences and not only let it be a one time thing but allowing it to be a life changing occurrence.

It is about allowing God to work through EVERYTHING!! & trusting God every step of the way! God has a BIGGER plan here I just have to be patient to understand what that plan is.

Until Next time…
