“Therefore Go and make disciples of all the nations…” ~Matthew 28:19
God has called all of us to something great and wonderful. As it says in the Bible he has plans for us “For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” ~Jeremiah 29:11. In the past few months through prayer and deep thought God has revealed his plan for the next year of my life; to participate in the 2016/2017 Adventures in Missions “Gap Year” program. This is a nine month-long missions trip to Malawi, Thailand, and Guatemala that is designed specifically for young people between the ages of 18-22 years old who are willing to step out in faith for God. Please pray for me as I step out in faith for God.
The main purpose of this trip is to spread the gospel, and what better way to do that than to love people, and what better way to love people than to serve them? “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28. Serving people is exactly the kind of love we will be showing the people of these nations. On this trip, my team and I will have the opportunity to teach English to school children, care for orphans, minister to prostitutes, help with construction needs, and encourage a remnant of believers. The amazing thing is that my team and I will be able to stay in each of those countries for three months which will allow us to really build relationships with the people to whom we are ministering, and give us the opportunity to go deeper in encouraging them in their walk with Christ.
These three countries are all so unique but one thing is very common amongst them along with the rest of the world, everyone needs Jesus. In order for me to reach these people I have to do some serious heart prepping, mind prepping, and fundraising. In order for me to do my heart and mind prepping I am praying and seeking God and I would love it if you would join with me in prayer for God to prepare me and open my eyes and to pray for all the people across the nations and that their eyes would be opened too. Also, I have to raise a lot of money in order to make this trip so if you would pray about partnering with me financiallly in whatever way you can that would be a huge blessing.
