8:30 Drive to the school in the pastor’s sung tow (a truck with benches in the back)
9:00-11:30 Teach English to 1st-6th graders. Courtney and I sang head and shoulders, knees and toes approximately six thousand times.
11:30 Lunch with the governor of the area we are staying in.
12:30 After lunch and a presentation, the governor took us to his fruit farm to show us around. Then he took us to another place with all kinds of different trees that have medicinal uses. Then he took us to a lake, where we jumped in wearing our “nice” clothes. Apparently, he was really pleased because it meant we were enjoying ourselves. Actually, it’s a really good thing that we went to lunch because the pastor we are working with says that the governor used to be really hard hearted towards the church and now he feels like he will be able to work with him in the future.
2:45 Visit a family that goes to the church we are working with. We shared some testimonies and prayed for them. The husband was so excited we were coming that he invited a friend over.
3:45 We head home to change out of our wet clothes and most people stay back to rest.
4:00 Lindsay, Elizabeth, Ja and I head to town to visit a lady we met at English Camp.
5:00 We buy rice and a few other things to take to one of the men in our church.
5:45 Visit with the man from our church. He tells us about how he was in a car accident and was unconcious for four months. When he woke up, he was paralyzed and was supposed to stay that way but now he walks (with a limp). We prayed for him and shared some testimonies with him and gave him the rice (after his accident he has been living with his cousin and hasn’t been able to work).
6:30 We go home for supper…which is amazing as usual. The pastor’s wife is an awesome cook.
7:30 I debate going running but decide to do nothing instead.
7:45 I upload photos and blog.
9:30 Ja and I have a sleepover in my tent.
