“Stir in me a love that’s deep
A love that’s wide
A love that’s sweet
And help me Lord to never keep it to myself

And if my heart should dimly burn
And if my feet should fail to run
Call my name and I will come right back to You

There’s no fear in love
There’s no fear in love”

I often get asked questions like, “arnt you worried about your safety? How are you going to live in a tent for so long? What if you get sick?” and the conclusion I have come to is that there is no fear in love (hence the title). Let me elaborate on what I mean by this.

If the God who saved Jonah from the pits of a whale, Daniel from the lions, the Israelites  from Egypt, and many more life or death situations, I believe that he will save me from all of my possible dangers.  But all of this is only possible because of the immense and indescribable love that he has for us.  There is no way that we will ever be able to truly comprehend how much he loves us.

With a love like this, there is no room left for being afraid. I have experienced this great love, now it is my turn to show it to as many people as I can.  As the lyrics above mention, “help me Lord to never keep it to myself” I pray that my team and I will be burning lights of God’s love over these 9 months.

Many times my sinful flesh wants to be afraid of all of these possible “what if’s”, but I just have to remind myself not to be afraid because there is no fear with God’s love.
