Identity: the first word that popped into my mind as I settle into my couch, laptop in hand. The question that followed shortly afterwards was, “who am I?” But of course, I know who I am. You are here to find out!
Let’s start with the basics!
Hey there, my name is Courtney, better known as Court or Clay to my friends (that’s you)! I am a lover of nicknames, so please, if you make up a good one, use it!
Jesus is my main man. I think having a relationship with Him these days is pretty underratedly amazing. The world is so full of depression, anger and confusion but in Christ there is so much joy! He is the reason for my happiness and He blessed me with this desire to get up, get out, and spread that joy!
Eighteen years ago, my parents bought a house in Williams Bay, Wisconsin and that’s where my family has stayed ever since. There are five of us in the Grever clan: Mom, Dad, Dawson, Hannah, and myself. I’ll be the first to leave the nest and the first to go into missions!
We have two pets, my beautiful Rottweiler Abby and our sweet ferret Zoe.
If someone turns on music, I’ll probably end up liking it no matter what. Unless it’s polka. Or country-rap. Come on guys, stay real.
I am a soccer enthusiast and have been since I could kick a ball. Number 14, woop woop!
My favorite color is orange.
I can procrastinate like there’s no tomorrow, er, like there are many, many tomorrows.
I have never had a more exciting job than the one I had as a camp lifeguard!
I have only ever left the U.S. once to go to the Bahamas. It was great! And now I’m hungry for more. Not just for some cool vacation, but something with a purpose.
Rock Climbing is becoming a new passion of mine… maybe even a small obsession. Can’t go wrong with that!
I’m a cozy 5’6″ tall, keeping it average. Can’t quite reach the top shelf, can’t quite fit into the tiny places but I sure can supervise.
My favorite food tends to change at every meal, so the answer to that at the moment would be fresh peaches.
Night. Owl. Early mornings are the absolute bane of my existence and yet I love the sunrise. So the conflicting interests of extra sleep or seeing the sun come up are a real struggle here!
As time goes on and I have more adventures, there isn’t a doubt in my mind that I’m going to change. A lot. God makes us cool like that, we’re always changing! So come back every once in a while and learn more about me as I learn about myself. ***Disclaimer*** I am most definitely gonna be an absolute wreck.
