Every few months or so our squad has a debrief. This means that our whole squad gets together along with leaders and mentors from the USA. We spend a couple days together. We have meetings in the morning, free time throughout the day, then worship at night to finish off the day. These couple of days gives us the opportunity to relax, to work things out, to catch up with others on the squad or to do something adventurous or fun. During our free time we have the chance to have an one on one with leaders or mentors. To gain wisdom or understanding from people that maybe older or walked through things like this before. I can say that debriefs are a healthy part of the process of the World Race. It only took me 4 months to start to realize this. A tip for future racers: I highly recommend to take part in everything that is offer during debrief. Especially if you think that you don’t need it or if you may no like it. I learned that the hard way.

Change also happens at month 4 debrief. At this point squad leaders raise up new squad leaders, 3 of the team leaders were chosen to take over that responsibly. From there some new team leaders were raised up and teams shifted around.

I am no longer on Team Pursuit. My team is called Team Freedom. I am still on an all women’s team, but with different people. There are 6 of us all together. My team leader is Casey, and other members of the team are Rachel, Nikki, Hope and Sydney.

Even though a season is ending, a new season will start. This season will have different opportunities for each of us to grow into a beautiful women of God.

Until Next Time.

PS. I do not have wifi at the place I am staying so you may not hear from me a bunch this month. I’ll do my best to keep you updated.
