training camp I was able to meet my teammates, those that will become like my
family for 11 months on the field. We began to share our stories and get to
know each other a little bit.
Liz, the
beautiful redhead, is our team leader. She is 23 and lives in Georgia. I have
been encouraged by her and am excited to see God direct our team through her.
Fun-loving, Lisa is 21 and is from Texas. She has the ability to put a smile on
my face without saying a word. Victoria is also 21 and she lives in
California. She has proven to be
our teams idea person and initiator. Chris is a very tall 20 year old who lives in Ontario, Canada.
I have been inspired by his ability to hear from the Lord and follow-through.
Jedediah is 21 and from Florida. His boldness for Christ has challenged me.
Then of course there is me: 25 and from Minnesota. To be honest, I’m not quite
sure yet what I am bringing to the team other than my willingness and my flexibility.
I am so excited, I can hardly put into words the feelings of anticipation to
see God build this community and use us for His glory!
