The journey has officially begun… I am in route to Kenya.
I’m currently sitting alone in a quiet, deserted hallway in the Amsterdam
airport (one of my favorite airports in the world for its resting areas, art
museum, and the benefits of hot running water in the sinks and flushing
toilets).  The quiet solitude is
good, after almost a month of crazy “whirl wind life as I approach this
transition to the next season.

It still feels a bit surreal. I sometimes feel the urge to
pinch myself. It isn’t hard to think back to less than a year ago when the idea
of serving in the IDP camp seemed like an unattainable hope or dream. It isn’t
hard to remember the countless prayers I’ve prayed for these people over the
past few years. The amazing thing is to think that I am just one more flight
away from stepping foot on Kenyan soil… a familiar “home away from home. I am
so close and the reality of it is overwhelming. I am on my way to a dream, a
dream of empowering people and restoring hope. A Kingdom Dream that the Lord
has called me to be a part of. I feel so blessed!

Please keep me in your prayers as I transition to life in Kenya and as I
continue to raise support. I’m still in need of about $2,000 to stay on the
field through December.
