I spent the night in a Romanian hospital last night. I’m
fine…I was there with my teammate and friend Kerry Bates. We wanted to make
sure she did not have malaria, which she does not have by the way.

I have learned from my own personal experience in the US and
here with Kerry that if you want doctors to do every test they have available in
the hospital, just tell them you were in Africa. Their eyes will grow, they
will get 8 other doctors and nurses to come watch as they push on your stomach
and ask you questions.

What started as a quick visit to get one malaria test done,
turned into hours of boredom, interrupted by Romanian speaking nurses who said
something we could not understand and then walked away upset. They were trying
to make Kerry stay until Monday so they could continue with the testing,
however I can’t imagine any other ways they could poke and prick her that they
did not already do. We were both so stir-crazy and needed to get out of that
small room. We plan to return in the morning to get more test results.

Please pray that Kerry will continue to feel better and that the doctors
will find satisfactory results, so Kerry can be diagnosed correctly and recover
fully to rejoin our team in ministry.
