Have you ever been so excited for something you say, “I
might explode!? That was how I felt about meeting the Kenya Initiative Team.
These 6 young men and women share in the passion that I have for the Internally
Displaced People of Kenya. They carry the same piece of God’s heart inside
their chests. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and am looking
forward to acting as field support for them while I do my 6-month
apprenticeship in Georgia, before joining them in Kenya.

The first few months of fundraising were really challenging
and even a bit discouraging for me. I felt like I was doing all I could to get
the word out and to share my heart for Kenya, but the money was barely
trickling in to my support account. I questioned my methods and if I was doing
everything I could. For about the first month and a half I had only gotten 2
donations. I became discouraged.

In my discouragement I sought the Lord and He gave me the
word “explodeâ€.  Initially I was
not too excited for this, since I knew it meant a period of time where nothing
would (continue to) happen. I laid down the desire for “my timing knowing that
time and time again God has provided for me as I do His work and He has proven
to be trustworthy. Then $970 came in! All in just a week! This past week it has
continued to grow and I am so encouraged that the fuse has been lit and the
explosion of funds is on its way!

April is coming soon and I need an additional $1,000 before
I leave. I would love to have the remaining $8,000 for my first 6 months to be
covered. Having this money before I leave (or pledged) would mean that I could
direct more of my time and focus to the ministry God has laid before me.  If you would like to be a part of this
explosion you can donate by clicking HERE
