9-11-01 to 9-11-11
People my age grew up hearing older people say things like, "do you remember where you were when JFK was assented?" Or pick anyone major event in History. On 9-11-01 that "tradition" was passed down to my generation. I will never forget that day for as long as I live. For only being 12 at the time I can tell you every detail of that day. I can't believe that it's been 10 years ago….. That was the day that a new and greater level of respect grew in me for our military, firefighters, police officers and paramedics. I've defended them all until I was blue in the face and I will continue to do so.
WE NEED THEM AND THEY NEED US!
Since I was a little girl every time I hear or see a siren of any kind I drop whatever I am doing and pray (I've added to it over the years one because of what happened that day and two I've had friends and family in all 4 of those HONORABLE TITLES) and I pray not only for who they are going to rescue but also for God to keep them safe. I also pray that if any of them go to eternity today that they will have a chance to know who Christ is first. I also pray that Holy Spirit will start a revival in these men and women's hearts and lives. Could you imagine?! I also pray specifically for the people of the nations we are fighting in, I pray that they too will have a chance to know Christ. With all that being said I ask you to join me in prayer for the families represented, our nation as a whole and our military, firefighters, paramedics, and police officers. I am proud of all these men and women and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you and keep you safe.
Father, Thank you for allowing me to be born in this country, free to worship you as I please. Thank you for the people who represent and defend our nation. Thank you for protecting us even though we don't deserve it. Father be with the families that have lost loved ones. Comfort them and give them peace. Continue to protect our men and women in uniform. I ask you that if any of them go to eternity that they will have a chance to know you first. I love you Lord. In Jesus name Amen
