Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!
Generally speaking you either HATE or LOVE Valentines. Usually depends on whether or not you're single or not, right? This was the BEST Valentine's Day I've ever had…. For multiple reasons I think one) being okay with being single two) sharing it with people that I love three) knowing the Father's love….
In this day in age the majority of believers my age are married, engaged or at least in a serious relationship that looks like it's heading towards the alter. Well, in the minority which at one point in my life would have bothered me. I've found out on this trip and even more so this month of what it means to be a woman of God. You can be a woman of God without a man of God at your side! Yes, God gave us each other for partnership! And God LOVES partnership but it's also a beautiful thing to be single!! Believe it or not!!! Whether you're single or married it's a gift from the Lord and you should be content and satisfied with where God has you RIGHT NOW! Yes, singles God may have you marry someday but that day might not be right now so don't sit staring into the future dreaming about Mr. Right when the world is passing you by!! God has called NOBODY to sit around waiting for the man or woman of their dreams that's just plain silly!! Believe it or not God has given the gift of singleness to you for a season…. That might last months, years, decades or even a lifetime but whichever it might be for you is a GIFT! EMBRACE IT!! Now I firmly believe that the Lord gives us the desires of our hearts (Proverbs 37) so I know that the Lord will grant me that desire BUT right now I NEED to be content and satisfied with where I am. It's so FREEING!! In his time I'll have the desires of my heart and until then I will ENJOY where I'm at now!
Valentines Day for us focused on the Father's love for us and what it looks like to be a man and woman of God. We're His children and He LOVES us so MUCH!! For goodness sake He gave us His son Jesus to DIE for ALL His children! He created us in His OWN IMAGE! and LOVES us DESPITE all the stupid things we do and all the disappointment that we give Him. We can't even begin to image just how much He really LOVES US!!
His love NEVER FAILS
His love NEVER ENDS
His love NEVER STOPS CHASING OUR SOULS
There's no END to the AFFECTION that He has for ME
His love is like an ENDLESS OCEAN
His love is like a BOTTOMLESS SEA
and I'm SINKING in it ALL!!
Isn't that such a BEAUTIFUL and WONDERFUL thing to know about our FATHER, our DADDY, our PAPA!!!
I hit a point about a year ago where I desperately NEEDED to understand MORE of the Fathers love for me. I seeked Him about it and begged for more understanding. And man did He give it to me!! Generally, you'll hear(in your case see) me say Papa, Daddy or Father because that's how I see my God. What you call Him is generally a reflection of your relationship with Him.
