I can't believe it's Half way!
You and me are worlds apart right now but connected through the cross. He's taken my world completely apart. My desires, my dreams, where I fit in, my identity, my life….. They're all His.
Lord, take my world apart. Take the selfish, take the pride, take the things not of you and turn them into things of you!
I talk a lot about expectations…. Well heres a list of things I experienced in the last 5 1/2 months and I can't wait to see what else God has in store for us!!
- Loved the unlovable
- Built a house
- Worked for our food – literally
- My heart broke for what breaks his
- Ate nothing but beans/rice
- Found my identity
- Put dirt on my face to show love
- Worked in an orphanage
- Played stickball to the point of not knowing we were white 🙂
- Filled a Pastors cup
- Got told I was sweet on the outside but a Lion on this inside. Time to release it
- Became a mom
- Left pieces of my heart all over the world
- Played soccer
- Dug holes
- Loved on street kids
- Put my back out
- Put a new roof on
- Went to church & understood nothing
- Became a family
- Left Footprints
- Cut grass with a machete
- Laughed until I cried & cried until I laughed
- Now I know the definition of filthy
- Teams changed. Went from Beautiful Feet to Somewhere Beautiful
- God kept me on this journey
- Traveled for a week straight
- Gained new spiritual gifts
- Prayer walked
- Made memories
- Didn't shower everyday
- New creations were born
- Stories told. Stories made.
- Loving the deaf
- Reached the unreached
- Worshipping in his creation
- Friendships formed
- Teaching English
- Buying flowers from little girls
- Teammate pooping on a wall
- Ministering to university students
- Sweating pounds
- Building relationships
- Baptism of water & spirit
- Praying and people getting healed
- Gained new passions, dreams & desires
They say all this is nothing compared to what we will experience in Africa! I can't wait to see what God is going to do in and through us! It's going to be great!
