My name is Courtney and I’m 20 years old. I’m the third oldest of ten kids and have never had my own room but that can only be expected from living with seven sisters and two brothers. Our house is never quiet and I’m pretty sure sarcasm is like the language of my family. We also tend to burst into random songs that don’t make any sense and there’s rarely a day that goes by when we don’t have friends over. Having that said, I have the two greatest best friends I could ever ask for. I am truly blessed. My family is also really into sports and I've played softball for seven years now along with a mix of other sports throughout the years.
I also have the world’s most amazing parents; yeah, you might want to break the news to yours haha. But seriously, I am so blessed to have them in my life. They are the most supportive, caring people I know.
Having grown up in a Christian home I was always familiar with the Sunday school stories and accepted Christ when I was 9 years old. However, I really didn’t start exploring my faith until I was in the eighth grade. Middle school and up until my sophomore year of high school was a really hard time for me and without getting into too much detail, looking back now I know that God used that time to strengthen and mold me into the person I am today. Seeing how God got me through all the pains and troubles, it’s plain to see that He’s the reason I’m where I am at today. I’m so blessed to have a heavenly Father who cares for me so much!
After I graduated high school I went on to attend Bethel College where God really challenged me to live out my faith and step up. This time was great but also really confusing. I ended up transferring back home to the community college where I’m at now because of the financial situation I was in and I felt that God was calling me to something different. I wasn’t sure at the time but looking back it’s obvious that God was guiding me down the path that has lead me to the World Race. Which I just gotta say I am SO excited about!! I've always been interested in mission work but never thought I'd have the opportunity to do something like this.
