YES.
Its a pretty simple word.
Usually, it goes along with another word:
NO.
And don't we love that word.
i love saying no.
It can be freeing in a way.
Especially for people like me
who used to be afraid to say no
because I might upset someone.
Yes, the word no can be wonderful,
And even healthy to use every now and then.
Sometimes, we'll even throw in a maybe
(which, lets be honest, usually means no).
So what happens when God says those three simple words:
Will
you
go?
Contained within these three words
is the most powerful implication known to man:
God.
wants.
it.
All.
There is no in between.
There is no maybe.
Either it's a yes, or it's a no.
When you say yes, you're all in.
You've thrown in all your poker chips on this one.
You can't even see the end result.
All you know is he's calling you to sell everything you have.
To move to the slums.
To quit your job.
To go to med school.
To start an orphanage.
To preach to CEO's of big corporations.
To be the manager of Chik-Fil-A.
To change your major your senior year of college.
To……
Sacrifice.
What would the sacrifice be
For a simple yes in your spirit?
Well, truth is, you might lose everything.
But what would you be losing?
Earthly things.
Temporary things.
Things that…. Dare I say it….
dont matter?
In losing everything we gain everything.
In the natural, a lot of these things just
dont seem possible.
But, this just in….
We serve a SUPERnatural God.
Mmmm.
Ill take it.
It takes courage to say yes every day.
I myself keep thinking,
"What if God calls me to not work right away
when I get home? I've got loans to start paying off!"
But then I remember.
The money is his anyway.
and he's fully aware of my financial situation.
So if he calls me to do some crazy thing,
hell take care of the money too.
Hes got us.
Hes GOT us.
