“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

This was Jesus’ prayer,
and we ought to model after it.
On earth as it is in heaven.
What the crap does this look like?
In a world that is so sick and messed up,
I easily get overwhelmed.
It’s easy to say things like,
“the world’s just gone to hell in a hand basket,”
and give in to the lie that nothing can be done.
I have approx. 17 million dreams for my life.
I wanna open up a bilingual coffee shop/ poetry club that supports local artists.
I wanna do music and art therapy with the developmentally disabled.
I wanna start a ministry that specifically focuses on all the different abuses and help them fight to get their voices back. (Nothing makes me more sick than thinking about how many people consider themselves worthless because that’s all they’ve ever been taught).
I wanna start a community that replicates the way the early church did life, where no one considered anything their own and no one was in need.
I wanna start a band and use it as a platform to help kids dreams come true. (All around the world, I hear about people’s circumstances preventing them from being able to pursue their dreams, and so they give up on them at an early age. That’s not ok).
I wanna adopt all the orphan babies ever.
I wanna confront human trafficking head on and risk my life for those that have never had one.
I wanna see sustainable development become a reality everywhere. (I’m so sick of seeing poverty everywhere I go and hearing story after story of not being able to find work).
I wanna speak out against bullying.
I wanna go to Hollywood to do life with celebrities and be Jesus to them.
I’m sure there’s plenty more where that came from,
but you get the idea.
I see problems everywhere,
and I wanna do something about all of them.
But it’s overwhelming.
And I struggle hard core with follow through.
Before I finish putting one idea into practice,
I have another one.
It’s kind of exhausting at times.
And it’s easy to become discouraged
and think that none of them are ever going to happen.
BUT THAT’S A STRAIGHT UP LIE.
This world’s reality doesn’t have to stay our reality.
IT’S TIME WE START BRINGING THE REALITIES OF HEAVEN TO EARTH.
“I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13
Or better yet:
“WE can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us.”
What if we lived like we actually believed that?
What if we believed that all of our kingdom dreams could become reality?
God has housed those desires inside of you!
It’s a straight up LIE that you can’t do something.
Freaking NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE for God!
Every time you hear that whisper that you can’t do something,
just laugh,
because it’s a total joke.
Satan is a loser and he’s pissed off.
So he’ll do anything to try and stop you,
because he knows what you’re capable of in Christ.
Just laugh in his face, move forward,
AND BRING HEAVEN’S REALITY THE WAY ONLY YOU CAN!!!
