I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.  As we enjoy this holiday season I am reminded that it is not the amount of gifts we get, but the amount of time spent with family and friends that makes it special. The celebration of Jesus birth is the intended meaning of Christmas but so many of people totally miss it.  I hope this holiday season you will take some time to remember that God sent his only son, to be born of a virgin, and to take on our sins so we could go to Heaven. I don’t know about you, but if it were left up to me to get into Heaven, I would never enter the pearly gates. Jesus was the only human that ever walked this earth sinless.  I thank God often for sending his son to die on the cross for us so that we all may have eternal life.

Reflecting on the upcoming year, I encourage you to strive to be the best version of yourself. That is my goal.  I am excited about what God has in store for me and I am looking forward to growing in God’s word. I challenge you to start out each morning with uninterrupted time either in prayer, mediation or devotion reading. This might be while you in the shower or while you are getting dressed.  Starting your day out with the Lord is starting your day on the right foot.

I ask that you be in prayer for me as I prepare for my journey.  I still need to raise a significant amount of money. I ask that you pray for God to help me acquire the funds needed so that I may be able to embark on this incredible adventure.

Thank you for your love and support,

Cory Ruder
