During church on Sunday, one of the guys stood up with his family to share that he and his wife had found out that they were pregnant with their second child. However, the child has been diagnosed with several problems, and his wife has Hepatitis B. And to add to that, throughout the past week, he has been constantly attacked by evil spirits trying to distract him from God.
At this point you would probably think that this guy and his family must be really depressed and frustrated with God. But, surprisingly, it was the opposite. He and his family were full of so much joy. The whole time that he was sharing the sufferings of his family, they were smiling and laughing. They had a joy that surpassed understanding.
He told us that they are trusting God with it all. He said that each morning when he wakes up he says to God, “I will do everything You want me to do.” He knows that the things God wants him to do are the things that are best for him. When he is spiritually attacked he commands the spirits to leave in the name of Jesus Christ and can feel them leave.
In this crisis, he and his family decided to run to God instead of running from Him, and in His arms they have found a joy and a comfort and a peace that can not be found anywhere else.
