Sorry for the lack of posts! Portfolio reviews, finals, and graduations have gotten the best of me these past two months, but hopefully now that school is over I can blog more often! For those of you who don’t know, earlier this May my twin sister Kate graduated from Vanderbilt University, my cousin Andrew graduated from East Carolina University, and I graduated from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. So congrats to them and to all my amazing friends graduating from the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, and University of Central Florida!
Today is also the first day of Training Camp! I haven’t left for camp yet, but it’ll be coming up later this afternoon. My squad is labelled ‘G Squad’ and our official team color is orange. Which is nice because my favorite color is orange. Training camp is a weeklong training session where our team can meet each other and prepare for what the Race has in store. We’ll be camping at a retreat center in White, Georgia, so we’ll only be about 30 minutes away from my house! From what I’ve heard, we’ll be participating in team building exercises, learning more about the leadership structure of our squad, and even experiencing some situations that are similar to what we might experience once we’re out in the field.
I probably won’t be able to blog much over the next week, but afterwards I’ll definitely fill you guys in on how the week went and what to expect now that I know more about what my Race will look like. I also wanted to take a second and thank you all once again for your support! Thanks to my wonderful parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles, I’ve received many graduation gifts that put me very close to my halfway point! Thank you all so much for your prayer and support and for everything that you do.
God bless, and I can’t wait to see you all in a week!
