Hey everyone! Sorry that blogging was so limited last month.  The closest wifi was a twenty minute drive from our Care Point site, and it went in and out regularly. I just wanted to give everyone a quick update about where I am! I’m currently on a bus headed to Jeffreys Bay, South Africa. It’s about a 15 hour ride from Durban, where we had a relatively short squad debrief after Swaziland.

Debrief was short and busy, but we were staying at a guest house only two blocks from the beach! I managed to go to the beach, catch a screening of the latest Hunger Games, and even visit the Durban World Cup Stadium all in three days. Can’t say I feel very rested, but I’m hoping that I can catch up on some sleep tonight and tomorrow before we begin ministry. This month we’re still not entirely sure just what we will be doing, but my team is working with Victory Christian Church, helping with a program called Victory For All during this holiday season. I’m looking forward to finding out more about this new ministry and to introduce you to my new team!!!

If the little sidebar on the left of this page is updated, it’ll tell you all that I’m on a new all girl team. This month is Manistry, which means all the boys are together and the girls get to see just how much more fun teams can be without smelly dudes. Just kidding! I’ll miss my two guys terribly (this one’s for you John and Jonathan!), but I’m looking forward to finding out more about the awesome ladies I get to share these coming months with. My team leader is Mary, along with Lauren, LeeAnn, Melody, and Kelsie Beggs (a fellow twin!).  This month, I’m still living with most of the girls from my other team, and more than likely we’ll also be working together. Which is a pretty nice transition I must say!

Please continue to pray for me and my new team as we continue being away from home during the holidays. Thanksgiving was awesome (I’ll tell y’all more about it later!) but I still struggled with a lot of homesickness this month. Pray for us as well as our families back home. And please be in prayer for my financial support and other members of the squad who aren’t fully funded yet. My final deadline is coming up at the end of the month. If anyone wants to give an awesome birthday or Christmas present, you can help me and my teammates stay on the field by supporting us financially! Just find the “Support Me” button on the left hand menu. Thank you all so much for all of your prayer and support. Hopefully we will have better access to wifi this month, and I can post all the blogs that are maybe a little outdated at this point. 🙂

*update: we are in Jeffrey’s Bay safe and sound! We have an awesome living space that’s probably the best I’ve had all race. I’m super excited for this month and for Christmas! Love and miss you all.
