So for the months of February and March, my squad was in Romania and Moldova, two teeny tiny countries in Eastern Europe (Moldova shares a border with Ukraine). Eastern Europe was by no means my forte. It was cold. And cloudy most days. While the chocolate was incredible and the old women some of the cutest people I’ve ever seen, Eastern Europe held a kind of veil over me for most days. The sunny warmth of Guatemala has been much more comforting for me. But even while I was chilly and grey, Romania and Moldova were incredible months where I was challenged and encouraged. All squad month in Romania was one of my favorite months so far, and our host family in Moldova was amazing. So here are some photos from my time there!
