Now that I’ve overwhelmed everyone with the raw reality that surrounded all of us during training camp, we must celebrate the lessons and pure joy that walks hand in hand with #allofthefeels.

  • Bug spray is just as good as perfume, except for more functional [and pungent].

  • Who needs showers when you’re going to be sticky all of the time ?

  • Hammocks, though already highly valued, are still grossly underrated. Learn how to squirrel. It’ll change your life.

  • I still can’t dance. Just stop asking me to. Talk to Danny if you need some moves. Let the man dance.

  • You can always use more glitter. Close your eyes and let the magic happen.

  • Don’t spend tons of money on tug-of-war ropes – they’re going to break.

  • Stomping the yard is actually super rad and super hip.

  • Tutus are always appropriate.

  • Mio Energy fixes a LOT of things.

  • Never underestimate rapping skills – age increases lexicon, wisdom and skill.

  • Put your chocolate inside your marshmallow before roasting.

And on the more serious side :

  • Never miss an opportunity to make someone smile.

  • Just listen. He’s speaking to you.

  • You will always disappoint someone. Live for no one but the Lord.

  • Cherish the late night giggles and hold them close.

  • Our brokenness is an opportunity for God’s light to shine through.

  • Freedom is uncomfortable to achieve.

  • Live now, post later.

  • No one’s life can be changed by your story if you refuse share it.

  • Free people FREE PEOPLE.

  • Live expectantly, live missionally.

  • All you need to heal is FAITH in the Lord’s hands.

  • Be enamored.

  • Let go.

It’s finally happening. A whirlwind, a lake swim, sweaty days and humid nights, ten days later and a three mile hike – and now I’ve a family like no other and a Father who redeems event the darkest part. I was broken and I’ve been made whole – no one can take that from me, from us.

And so we begin to embark on the next six weeks, confronting the spiritual warfare and clinging to our community as we prepare for launch and the next season of our lives.

Slowly we march, departure creeping closer by the day. And we will wait upon the Word of the Lord and live lead by the Spirit.

All we have in life is the time we’re granted and the story Father God has given us. There will always be another job. There will always be another idea, another boy, another girl, another book, another trip.

BUT. There will never be another you and there will NEVER be another God.

Step into your story, today.
