Hey all !
After a WILD ten days at training camp, the Lord has called me to be more faithful in His ability and willingness to provide for me as I step out to further His Kingdom. In doing that, He has asked me to stop funneling my own funds and items into the support I need to raise and instead reach out to my family, friends and fellow human beings.
As many of you know, asking for help is not something I love to do and I rarely convince myself that doing so is justified. That being said – I trust that the Lord is a good, good Father and He loves me more than I can imagine. With that in mind, I’d love to invite each and every one of you to partner with me in one of four ways :
1. Support by prayer : choose one day a week to devote some time to praying for us and share those words and your heart with us via email, Facebook or another social media platform. The power of prayer should never be underestimated – take this as a chance to invite the Holy Spirit into your lives even more.
2. Support by sharing : subscribe to my blog and share the stories of what the Lord is doing in the 12 countries we’ll be travelling to and how His hands are working in my life, my team’s lives, my squad’s lives and the lives of those around us. Romans 10:14 reminds us of the reason for sharing the Good News, no matter where you are.
3. Support by financial donation : I am just $6,000 away from being FULLY FUNDED with a deadline of September 30th for my $13K goal and November 30th to top off the $17,562 that covers transportation, lodging, insurance, food and other expenses on the field. This does not include funds for emergencies or individual purposes. Simply put, I cannot go on this race without your assistance. Divided evenly between the months ends up as $1,200 per month from July to November. Here is a breakdown of commitments needed :
- 5 people willing to donate $50 a month from July – November [$1,250]
- 10 people willing to donate $30 a month from July – November [$1,500]
- 15 people willing to donate $20 a month from July – November [$1,500]
- 20 people willing to donate $10 a month from July – November [$1,000]
- 30 people willing to donate $5 a month from July – November [$750]

4. Support by material donation : there are a few items I’m still looking to acquire before heading to launch on August 4th this year ! These items are :
- 1-3 sets of nylon strings for my soprano ukulele that will be coming with me to aid with musical worship and long days on the road.
- Bug net for my Eno hammock ! We’ll be spending approximately 80 days on boats on the Amazon and sleeping in hammocks more frequently than tents. Because of Malaria, Zika and Yellow Fever all being spread by infected mosquitos, a bug net helps protect me and my teammates from the threat.
- Pocket sizes Spanish-English dictionary ! Of the 12 countries we’ll be serving in, the vast majority speak Spanish as one of the main languages. Another dictionary welcomed is Portuguese-English ! Small is preferred, as we will be carrying everything we bring for the duration of the 11 months.
