Where I’ve Been – God Behind Me
- Grew up as the oldest of 5 in a small town in Missouri, known for cows, corn, and some gorgeous countrysides.
- Graduated with a bachelor’s in math, and a love for volleyball and running.
- Taught middle school, high school, and college mathematics courses for 9 years.
- Never quite understood that my salvation wasn’t dependent on my own works, and since I knew my works weren’t going to cut it, shut my heart to God for awhile.
- God, undeterred by my closed heart, starting sending people into my life to soften it.
Where I am – God With Me
- Living in the heart of St. Louis, with a deep love of our Cardinals, our craft beer scene, free music in summer, and a deep passion for the resolution of the systematic racism that plagues my city.
- Working with scores of local businesses as a project manager in a web design firm within biking distance from my home.
- Loving nothing more than quiet evenings trying out new recipes in the kitchen, quiet weekends trying to grow new plants, and teaching Gospel truths to 2 yr olds.
- Am a member of an amazing church that challenges my faith through a deep dependence on God’s Word and community group accountability
- Confident that my salvation is rooted in Jesus alone, and the freedom of that truth is blossoming into such a sweet love for my Savior as he teaches me how to live for Him.
Where I’m going – God Before Me
- 11 months of continual fellowship, service, and awe for God’s mighty hand at work.
- Trusting in the promise that God will continue to make me new – and continue to draw me closer to Him through his Word and His people.
- Using my voice to advocate for those voices that are simply not heard – why else would God have privileged me with being born into the richest country in the world?
- Maybe a tiny house on wheels and a big garden
