Dear friends and family.
Thank you for reading this letter. Whether I talk to you regularly or haven’t seen you in years, I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedules. As I have mentioned in a few of my posts before, I am going on an eleven month missions trip called the world race. This is program run through a non denominational organization called Adventures in Missions. God has called me to go into the nations, to spread His word and share the love of Jesus. In Africa (Lesotho, Swaziland, and South Africa) our ministry will include communing with families, caring for orphans and working at care point feedings. In southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand) our team will be doing ministry such as teaching English, sharing God with prostitutes and sex trafficking victims. In Central America (Costa Rica and Nicaragua) our time will be spent doing slum ministry and door to door outreach. In the Caribbean (Jamaica, Haiti, and Dominican Republic) we will be involved in Vacation Bible Schools, church planting, and construction work.
Since 1989, over 100,00 people have spread the good news across the nations through Adventures in missions. It is an amazing opportunity, and through Him, all things are possible. It is my heart’s desire to be among the many people set to leave in August 2016!
As you can imagine, travelling to this many countries for such a long period of time, will be very expensive. My goal for May 13th is $5000.00 USD. I will need $10,000 USD by July 22nd. My team will launch in the beginning of August but I will not need to reach my final goal of $16,961 USD until November 30th 2016. These funds cover my travel, lodging and food for the year. I will also need a few extra thousand dollars to cover my fights to and from the states, vaccinations, and travel gear (tent, backpack, etc). I will be doing some separate fundraising throughout the next couple months, which I will inform you of when I have a definite plan. However, in addition to this, there are a few ways that you can personally support me on the race.
You can donate online. Either through Adventures.org or through my personal blog: corissalowry.theworldrace.org

The last and most important way you can support me is through prayer. I will be doing a lot of praying myself, so please join me in asking Him for help.
Matthew 18:19-20
“Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
