It’s 11 o’clock at night as I start this post that’s been percolating since the first day of our debrief, or maybe the second…between a 24 hour travel day, 4 days of sightseeing and sessions, and settling into our Romanian ministry while preparing to go to Greece tomorrow, it’s been a busy week!
But it has been a blessed week, one in which my team has grown together and our squad has enjoyed each others’ company after 3 weeks apart. (All 55 of us are living together for the month, so we’ll see how long that feeling lasts!)
Anyways, I wanted to share a song that has been my anthem during the past two weeks. We’ve sung it in worship, I’ve hummed it on and off, it’s played while we pulled out bushes at Lightforce. Most meaningfully to me, it spoke to several of our hearts while we were praying over each other as a squad.
In peace or in sorrow, let us say: it is well with my soul – how powerful is that! To have peace flowing through our whole beings, like a direct pipeline from God, and to be able to handle anything that life throws at us.
I have been feeling so calm with all the chaos and flurry of activity, at peace with saying goodbye and transitioning from one country to another, at peace with being far away from family. It has been such a blessing to me to harbor this grand peace. So today I wanted to share that with anyone who needs a little extra peace in their lives.
