Remember how I told you I had lots of things I wanted to blog about?
I wasn’t lying, I just severely underestimated how much other things would press on my time. From weddings to apartment hunting, from family birthdays to church concerts, from watching movies to reading books – there are a million things I want/need to get done this summer, and writing usually gets moved to the back of the line.
However, I’m about to be embarking on a nice long road trip which should give me time to type up/write out several posts that have been on my mind since our Project Searchlight last week. Most of them since before PSL, even. (Amazing how being away from computers for a week is great for increasing creative output from my brain…)
I’ve decided that these aren’t quite related enough to the World Race for me to include them as part of the World Race blog. They’re not experiences I had, but things that living in different cultures, particularly the Adventures in Missions culture, have made me think about now that I’m back in “my” culture.
So once I get back from said vacation, I’ll be starting a new blog – leaving y’all the link of course, and probably posting infrequent updates here when the blog has enough World Race tie-in.
This past year has been incredible. Incredibly different than I imagined but incredibly rewarding nonetheless. And I can’t think of a better time to close out this chapter than exactly one year after R squad stepped onto a plane bound (eventually) for Tirana, Albania, not knowing what adventure lay before us.
Here’s to the next adventure!
