Dear Family and Friends,
I’m writing to catch you up on what is going on in my life. I have made a major decision and I am so excited to share it with you!
I have given my life to Christ and He has pointed me in the direction of the mission field. God has put the opportunity in front of me to join the June 2008 World Race and become a missionary for a year. The World Race involves teams of 5 to 6 people from all of the United States who will take a year of their life to travel the world and live like Jesus lived.
As we go, we will be serving with local churches, working in orphanages, caring for the sick, assisting with disaster relief and basically helping wherever God leads us. We will live modestly and in most places we will stay in tents or wherever people invite us to stay. The team that I am on leaves this coming September.
I have so much to do to get ready for the trip! I am beginning to gather my supplies, apply for my passport, and am working on getting the vaccinations that I will need to stay healthy.
I am sad to be leaving my job at the Humane Association, but I truly feel that this is where the Lord is calling me – to live a life that is not about me and not about being comfortable. As God’s chosen, blessed sons and daughters, we are expected to do something large enough that failure is guaranteed….. unless God steps in.
There are several ways you can join my team and be a part of the World Race with me. If you would like to get involved, I have included a list of needs for the following year.

Please take time to check in on me and to post comments, send me pictures from home, send your love and prayers.

Prayers – – Please keep me in your prayers. Many of you are prayer warriors and have the gifts of intercession. If that is you, please commit to scheduling one day per week to set aside time to pray for me. Pray for my team, for the people we have yet to meet, and the diving appointments in front of us.

Financial Support – – I do need your help, it can be as little as $5, $10, $20, or even $5,000! I and each of my team members must raise $13,000 to cover basic expenses such as travel, food, and housing for the entire year. To make a tax-deductible donation please click on “Support Me” at http://coriwilliams.theworldrace.org Or, you can fill out the enclosed card and send it in. I have enclosed a response card and a pre-addressed envelope, which invites you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions. You may write my name in the memo section of the check if you wish. Including the enclosed card will provide AIM with all necessary information. In turn, they will send you a receipt. All gifts are tax-deductible.

Other donations/ items – – frequent flyer miles, international phone cards, camping equipment, small items to give to the children and people that we will meet along the way.
Many of you are Christians and share in my mission to follow in Christ’s footsteps. Please prayerfully consider your role in the Kingdom and how God is calling you to join this World Race with me by offering your encouragement, prayers or financial support.
Some of you may not share my belief in Christ, but you do believe in me, and share my desire to make a difference in this world! Those of us participating in the World Race will be a voice for so many who have no voice. We are blessed, that we might be a blessing!
