It’s going to be a journey of intentionally, light, and unity that births from our heart posture.
Month two, Ecuador, it only took us 32 hours on a bus to get here. Honestly, the gray hound buses were way worse but we survived both and we’re here and thriving. Ecuador is already very different than Colombia and I love it. Mountains everywhere but instead of being in the valley we’re kind of on the side of a mountain. It’s way colder here but close to fall at home so it makes me smile. The weight on my heart from this place seems lighter. Colombia was sooooo heavy. Not saying there is less of a need here in Ecuador but it just feels different. I feel deeper. I feel more invested. My heart posture coming in is completely different. The way Papa has prepared me for Ecuador and spoke to me about His plans for my team and I here are mind blowing.
My team and I will be working at the ministry called, Camp Hope. It’s a camp for disabled people ages raging from 2 all the way to 30. Pouring into the people that work at Camp Hope year around, feeding kids, playing with them, pealing garlic, cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, and so much more for our first two weeks here. Then we switch with another team and move to the Camp Hope Farm where we will work behind the scenes for the next 2 weeks farming and seeing the fruit of our labor from the 2 weeks before.
Papa told me this month is going to be a journey and it’s all about my team and I’s heart posture. He also said, “Corbyn, step out of your comfort zone more then you ever have before because that’s what true faith and trust in me looks like, serve hard, love harder. Press in hard, this month is going to be a journey but you won’t leave the same. We won’t leave the same.” I am so hyped and expectant of what the Lord is going to do in and through us this month. Definitely, highly out of my comfort zone already but that’s where the Lord works and grows you the most and there is nothing I want more. “If you’re not growing my kingdom then why are you here?” –Papa (Matthew 25)
Thank y’all for all the prayers for safe travel! Please continue to pray for my team and I that Papa would give us the eye to see and hears to hear what He does this month. Feeling so blessed to be here and have this opportunity!
