Wild testimony! God is good!
Okay so this past Wednesday we arrived in Phoenix, Arizona. I literally had no idea what these 5 days were going to hold. Thursday we worked at a homeless feeding center here in Phoenix and in one meal we feed over 500 people! Friday night we had the opportunity to go see Derek Shadow (This dude who did 11n11 and then traveled to all 50 states last year with his ministry called, “The Open Door Movement” doing ATL (Ask the Lord)) speak at a church he visited last year. I had zero clue who this dude was and had no intention on going. The Lord said, “go I have something for you.” I went. We got there and I was less then impressed pulling up to this church and questioned why I went once again. To my surprise this place was FILLED with Holy Spirit and we meet an incredible women named Shannon who prophesied over some of my teammates and I. Derek preached right to us and it was everything I had been needing to be reminded of. After the message, I meet this man named Daren who started a conversation with Ben and I about our travels abroad and began to tell us how he’s new to the church and this was only his second service ever. He was telling us that he hasn’t smiled or laughed in years and after the service this past Sunday he hasn’t stopped smiling! We explained that it was the joy from the Lord he experienced. We also saw the Lord heal someones wrist!
Literally the second thing out of Derek’s mouth after meeting him was him inviting us to his tattoo appointment the next day and we immediately excepted. Later finding out that the tattoo artist, Zack is also a rock climber and is going the following morning to climb. We had been praying for the Lord to send us a rock climber so we could climb here. We went climbing the next morning and I even got to hang off the side of the rock face and take pictures of them as they climbed up to me! (Lived my dream finally!)
Sunday came quickly after a late worship night with our host family. Once again I definitely didn’t want to go to church but the Lord said, “go I have something for you” so I went. Derek preached another great message and after he invited anyone to the front that wanted prayer. My homie Darren went up front. He looked lost and confused like he was attempting to reach out to the Father. The Father spoke to me and said, “Go ask him if he wants to accept me as his Father.” Scared out of my mind the Lord followed up with a great pep talk about how simple it was. I walked over to Darren and asked. He said “yes! I’ve been standing here trying to figure out how to do that!” I got to pray with him and he accepted Jesus into his life! After he just kept telling me how happy he was and I got to tell him that Heaven was partying with him! What an unexpected 5 days in Phoenix and could not be more thankful! The Lord is good!
The Lord has been doing wild things and I’m working on writing them out to share. This thing is going by so fast. Planning to fly home early June to get to welcome my gap year racers off the field! Prayers are so appreciated for them and my World Race America team as they continue on for the next 5 months! Thank you guys so much for all the support through this wild journey that I know is no where near finished. Season to season He never changes.
Oh! If you haven’t seen it! About a week or two ago I announced a new fundraiser! I’m doing prophetic art for people! They are coming slow and steady and I’m excited to see what the Lord does with it all! The video and info is on my Facebook and Instagram, go check it out! Thank you guys! Much love from Arizona!
