Back in Roatan, Carly and I set out on an adventure and called it dolphin day! Seeing the dolphins were our plans, as it has been on her bucket list for a long time and a recent add on to mine, we got up early and paused to pray-Lord you know our plans are to see the dolphins, but help us to get into divine encounters along the way where you can be glorified! We hit the road and waited 20 minutes for our first ride! Back of a truck a few minutes down the road, rather unimpressive! We prayed again for a ride and Carly said, he’s shouting the number 4 at me..so we waited and sure enough car number 4 was a truck that stopped. He was nice enough to let us sit in the cab with him (let me pause here with a disclaimer..do not try this at home ha ha!) we got in and he was on his way home at 7am after being out all night. We talked football and God with him and explained how God had brought us together at just the right time and encouraged him to seek God. He has a son and we gave him a tract to take home. We pray he gets involved in a local church and God gets a hold of his heart! We got out and hitched a ride on the back of a truck going top speed (again don’t try this at home!) but God protected us! He took a few minutes then had to turn around so he let us out. We walked a few feet and Carly hailed us an SUV. We got in and met Edwin! Super awesome guy, teacher of English at a school on an island (side note his principal picked us up a different day!). He ended up taking us all the way in to the place we were headed! He is trying to get into a school in the states and I felt the Lord telling me to help and give him some money, I only had $100 for the dolphin day and said no..ha ha! Carly gave him a little, we said thanks and got out. After he drove off and we signed up and I realized they took VISA I felt regret for not listening to the Lord's voice and supporting him. It’s not even my money to control! (see blog –Can I lead ha ha!) So I prayed forgiveness asking for a second chance! Carly and I had a great day and hung out at the beach with friends then decided to head home! We set out looking for rides and found a truck willing to take us part way. After picking up other hikers, almost running over a scooter, and dropping off people down a sketchy side street we found ourselves at a gas station in need of another ride. We started walking and heard, Carly!! Hey!!! We looked and it was Edwin yelling out of his car at us!! I screamed in excitement, we got in and he turned around and took us back toward where we needed to go. I kept telling him it was a God moment that he found us and stopped because I had wanted to bless him with a financial gift and God gave me the chance! Obedience the first time would have the way to go, but I am so thankful that God took the day and used it for His glory and His good! It was such a cool miracle to see Edwin again and meet his cousin too. I pray that God becomes real in their lives! It is so awesome to see how God intertwines our lives with others and I can only imagine what that looks like from His perspective! I know this blog is an oldie but a goodie, but it got trapped in my computer and I still wanted to share it with you! See God in the day to day encounters!
