Woohoo!!  I’m on the race doing 11n11 and its 11-11!  I’ll be honest I didn’t really think I’d make it this far or that time would be going by quickly! I am trying to savor each day and live it to the full potential. I know God has me right where he wants me.  I am constantly seeking His guidance and direction in my life! He is amazing!  Can I just go off and brag on God for a minute?  He created all the beautiful views I am seeing!  Volcanos, Mountains, flowers, insects, fruit trees, PEOPLE!  He gives me energy every day!  He speaks to me through His Word, people, or a thought He lays on my heart.  I never have to fear because He’s got it under control.  He is on the throne ruling the world and he still cares about the tiniest details of my life.  He has so much love and grace for me that I’m overwhelmed.  He gave us a way out-he provided Jesus and then the Holy Spirit!  He is so life-changing and powerful that we are willing to die for Him!  He is awesome!!  Our God is an awesome God!  Ok back to the blog!   We’re in the middle of month 3 and so much has already happened!  Let me just say accumulating experiences is way more rewarding than accumulating possessions that you just have to dust around anyway!  I am meeting many awesome people and seeing   their different ministries!  I just got an email today from a guy that picked us up hitchhiking in Roatan and it made my day!  I am also Facebook friends with a girl I met on the bus to Managua, Nicaragua.  There are just so many more missionaries that I am now praying for and thankful for!  We are here proclaiming Christ by serving and building relationships.  This month here in Nicaragua we are helping a pastor named Eliab.  The first week we helped to paint at the Bible Institute he attends.  Now this week we are staying at his house/church and working with him at a few other sites.  My team is also on task for Unsung Heroes.  We are asked to find new contacts in the country and make connections with them.  We are also to bring to light some missionaries that are not always noticed to encourage them to keep it up!  Here are 11 random (you know me-random) thoughts about my time on the race so far!  (this list could go on forever!)
1.        Riding with others on the back of a truck up a steep mountain or on windy roads is such a freeing feeling!
2.       Water, paint, insect, and fruit fights keep the mood light when you’re hot and tired!
3.       Squatty potties really work your quads!
4.       To see the smile on kid’s faces as I smile and wave at them no matter what country makes my heart joyful.
5.       Bonding with my team Sweet Aroma is unpredictable and often smelly!
6.       Spikeball is becoming a world-wide sport!  J
7.       Even though I eat rice and beans almost daily I still love the food down here!
8.       Every travel day I fight going extreme with reckless abandonment and wanting to ditch everything!!
9.       Sharing A LOT of personal space with strangers on a way over crowded bus wondering why they are still
calling people to get on is something everyone should experience!
10.   Realization that it’s not all about us, trying to live that out, and asking how to tell others is sobering.
11.   Hanging out with Dolphins should be on everyone’s bucket list J
So today I hope you receive some joy with this because God is good.  Remember 11n11!  Thanks for all of your love and support!  More to come this week!
