hello all.

Quick update on Dad. He’s doing better but still in the hospital. We’re still waiting to hear from the doctors to see if he’s a candidate for surgery. Keep praying for wisdom and discernment from the doctors.

Two things you should know about me:
1) I love my family
2) I’m a fighter

God reminded me today not to worry. He’s got a plan. Everything happens for a reason, including trials and tribulations. I came across a song today, and there was a line in it that stuck out to me: “My love fights fear.” It reminded me of this verse:

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)

The Lord fights for me. He cares about what I care about. He loves my family even more than I do. There He goes, just being the awesome, good, and holy. Taking on evil, lifting the broken-hearted, giving hope to the hopeless, and giving a second chance out of His abundance. Jesus really is the best thing that ever happened to me.

My family and I are not defeated. We walk in faith and confidence because the LORD is with us. If we can have hope in this situation, so can you. Don’t feel defeated or remain downcast. Look up to the Lord. See what He is doing. He’s always up to something for your good!
One thing I am learning about doing life GOD’s way: it allows you to live in the present. You don’t worry about coming up with a plan. You don’t need to re-live the past because greater things are ahead. He’s in control. I feel like for the first time in my life I am finally walking in step with God and at His pace. Let me tell you, it’s so assuring and peaceful

I believe God has great things in store for my Dad. The BEST years of his life are coming up. God is going to surpass his wildest dreams. I will not let this situation rob us of hope and joy. The Lord will see us through.

I leave you with the song below:
