Welcome to my World Race page!!! I am so excited to share with you a little about myself and hope that you will follow me throughout this amazing experience in my life.
To start things off I am a 22 year old that grew up and currently lives in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. If not from Colorado, Highlands Ranch is located about 30 minutes south of downtown Denver. I am currently studying Finance at the University of Colorado Boulder. I will be graduating this May (2017) and starting my adventure in August 2017. I have two sisters (Megan and Amanda) and two brothers (Nick and Tyler). We are a large family and I am the youngest of the five kids. You can imagine it was a rough childhood being the youngest of five!
Kimberly and Daniel are my amazing parents and have shaped me into the man that I am today. I enjoy the outdoors, whether it be playing golf, snowboarding or just spending time with friends. I love to take advantage of the 300+ days of sunshine we experience in Colorado.
The moment I fell in love with the idea of “giving back” to those less fortunate was the summer after I graduated from high school. My girlfriend, Taylor, and her family invited me to take a trip to Nicaragua to help work in a medical clinic they had started years ago. I have been back to Nicaragua every summer since that first trip and can not get enough of service work. This is why I am venturing off on this journey to 11 different countries for 11 months. I can’t exactly describe how excited I am for the opportunity to strengthen my relationship with the Lord and at the same time help serve and grow as an individual. I have known for a while now that the World Race was something I needed to do but I also knew I had to first graduate from college and get my degree.
Throughout these 11 months I will be traveling to:
- Serbia
- Romania
- Bulgaria
- Malaysia
- Thailand
- Laos
- Lesotho
- South Africa
- Madagascar
- Jamaica
- Dominican Republic
I will be spending an entire month in each one of these countries and will start this adventure in August 2017!!! My plans are to blog throughout this journey so I’m hoping you can follow me in my travels.
Thank you so much for reading this post and I am very grateful for all of your support!
