I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to give a disclaimer at the start or keep all of you on your toes throughout the story. Since I know the fear that exists with Covid, I’m gonna let y’all wait till the end. Who doesn’t like a good mystery, right!?

Last Wednesday, I started showing Covid-like sympotoms, fever, body aches, fatigue, and whatever else. My loving coach put me in quarantine for the time being. On Thursday, we found out that one of the guys we were doing ministry with had tested positive for covid. I also found out that one of my friends here in Colorado also tested positive for covid. So, we all went into quarantine and I went into a more intense version of isolation quarantine while we waited for the results of my test to return.

This began a fun series of little to no human contact. For some, I’m sure this type of thing would be a dream come true, but for an extrovert it’s pretty debilitating emotionally. I went into quarantine fully expecting to hate every second of it. While it wasn’t my favorite thing in the world, it was honestly quite enjoyable. Of this, I want to encourage my fellow extroverts.

Take this time of relative confinement as an opportunity to strengthen your relationship with the only One that can truly satisfy, God. Time alone with God is not really time alone. I plan to write a more detailed blog on what God showed me during my time stuck in that room, but for now I want to encourage you all to sit with Him.

See what He wants to do with you. Sometimes you’ll just sit and read a book while His peace and general serenity sits next to you. Sometimes you’ll play a mindless game while He chills next to you with His joyful spirit. Sometimes you’ll talk for hours and His listening spirit will fill you with contentment in the fact that He is next to you.

Bottoms line, invite God into whatever you are doing. He wants to sit with you. And, just like anyone else He wants, and often times waits, to be invited. Never hesitate to invite Him. He is NEVER too busy to sit with His children.

PS. I don’t have Covid!!! #Woohoo
