In the last 2 post I talked about being accepted and needing donation. As I woke up this morning, God laid on my heart that I hadn’t even talked about my trip and my mission! Upon realizing this I was startled at the fact I need to let my readers/supporters know what exactly I’m doing. So here it is!

On May 14,2014, I will be leaving for something called “training camp”. At training camp, this will be the first time I get to meet my squad mates in person!! My squad will consist of 50-60 people and then be broken down into teams. One squad goes on one route, and then the team that I will be on is whom I will be spending most of my time with. Training camp will last for one week and during that week Adventures tries to mimic situations that I will be dealing with! Also my squad won’t be the only squad there so I will get to enjoy the learning and teachings of God with 3 more other squads!! SO AMAZING!

My squad will be leaving from Georgia in early July. I have chose to be on route 3 out of 4 routes. My route will consist of Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, Malaysia, Swaziland, Botswana, and last South Africa. Now this is the expected order of route travel but with God’s Grace that can always change. Personally I’m excited that I can say my squad is the first squad on The Race in 9 years to travel to Colombia! Some other countries I’m excited for are Peru (Macchu Picchu), Japan, and Swaziland. Now don’t get me wrong I’m really pumped and excited to see God’s work and will be done in all 11 countries, those are just some I’m really looking forward to.

When I talk to people about my Mission most of them ask what kinda work I will be doing there. Now the answer to this question is a mystery to even me! Now I can tell you that there will be work as in playing with kids, handing out much needed supplies, building churches (whatever needs to be built), just showing the locals Gods love by just being and loving on them, and even doing things as far as helping out in schools by teaching the local kids English, but the exact extent of work I wont know until I arrive in country. This hasn’t been a problem for me, but something I ask God just for a hint so I can prepare myself for what to expect. This is where I have to trust His Will, Guidance, and Faith. This trip is meant to bring me to my core physically and Spiritually by going into the unknown and trusting in Him and that is some I am just stoked for!
