As some of you know, In September I will be heading out for an 11 month journey to 11 different countries to do various types of mission work with different organizations in those countries. To prepare for this trip, I have been given a large checklist of supplies and gear I will need during the year I will be gone. I already have or will be able to easily get some of these items, but I wanted to make a blog to list some of the things that might be harder/more expensive to get. When you add most of this stuff up, these items can start to get pretty expensive (especially if I'm going to be needing things in pretty decent condition/quality as I will be using them almost daily for 11 months).
Maybe you or someone you know has one or a few of the things on this list, and I would be so blessed if you decided that you would not need or miss them and would consider donating them to me and my trip. That would be straight up awesome! We are looking at hundreds of dollars IN ADDITION to the $15,500 I have to raise. You can be a part of making that happen too:

So here's the list of some of the big things I need, and please contact me on Facebook or Twitter if you have any questions at all or want to talk about some of this gear!
1. Internal Frame Backpack (4,200-5,000 cu. in.)
2. "Pack Duffle" or "Airporter" (This is a large duffle that would protect my backpack during flights)
3. 2-Man Freestanding Tent (around 4 lbs, with a rain-fly, adequate ventilation)
4. Sleeping Bag rated for 35 degrees (with sheet or sleeping bag liner for warm weather)
5. Sleeping Pad (NOTE: this is my "bed" for 11 months)
6. Pocket multi-tool or knife and other travel equipment (i.e., small first aid kit, outlet/voltage converter)
Thank you!
