Now that silence fills the air, we gaze at the beauty of the
mountains and feel the warmth of the sun on us on this warm autumn day. No more
humming of the sewing machine or chorus from the table saw or drill. The sale
has come and gone and some lessons were learned in the process.
Lessons we learned today at our sale…
Be prepared (don’t forget your mittens in the morning its
cold)
Smile (people love being greeting by friendly faces)
People love food! Especially our cinnamon rolls.
Don’t always hope for warmer weather (colder weather sells
more blankets, hot cider and beanies. As well as puts people in the mood for
Christmas gift buying) But thank you Jesus that it warmed up so we didn’t
freeze our fingers off.
And God will provide the buyers, the contacts and the
resources.
Thanks to all the many people who helped make this happen.
Overall we came home with more stuff than we expected to,
but we have many more opportunities to sell them for missions. We also came
home with more friends than we set out with.
