January 6th, 2011 we flew to Thailand for the very first time. 11 months
later we flew home from Romania. 17 Countries later, 14 new ministry Contacts, hundreds of new
friends, we are home. There are few words to sum up this year, that fully
capture how we feel or what we have experienced. It truly was a once in a
lifetime opportunity. We are so thankful to have met, loved and worked with the
men, women and children in each Country that we did. We are blessed to have
loved deeply and been loved deeply. We have been challenged, stretched,
changed. Eyes and ears we have been called to be and now the people we met and
the stories we heard will not simply be ours to remember but ours to tell. This
year, this journey was not just for us, it was also for each of you. It was
meant to make us aware, fall in love and love deeper than before. To help us
see into the spiritual world and the wars being fought all around us. To look
into the eyes of the orphan that feels abandoned and unwanted to show him his
value, or to tell the sweet girl that had her virginity sold to the highest
bidder, she is loved. We washed the feet of women rescued from the sex
industry, where they spent most of their lives being used and feeling
ashamed. We could not have done all of
this without your support. Without your prayers, we would have faced more
spiritual warfare, without your encouragement we would have been discouraged
and felt alone. We believe that this year has made a big impact on more than
just us. We believe that God has something big in store for each of us and that
He wants to encounter each of you today in a new way. We believe His Kingdom is
coming and it is through the least of these. We believe there is more to life than us. This wasn’t meant to be a
year of impression but a year of change. Once we know we are responsible,
therefore we are meant to be proactive in fighting injustices like these we
have seen. Thank you for joining us on this journey. Its not over, it has only launched us into greater things to come.
