What little we saw, but how much we felt.
Kennedy’s restaurant, our home away from home. Our free time is spent here hanging out with and encouraging the staff. We also live with two of the staff members, Ryan and Adrian. We have enjoyed their friendships and pray God continues to use World Race teams to disciple and encourage them.

Teaching English classes for the Burmese is one of our favorite things to do. We love helping them grasp simple concepts and words to help them in their future journey in their third Country as a refugee. We teach 2 classes a day to adults, and a few of us spend 5 hours a day at the school with the little ones.
Home cells- encouraging the global believers with God’s Word. Most often these are in our friends homes, friends that come from Myanmar. Others have been with our contact in their friends homes. Together we read, study, pray, sing and smile a lot.
Village life was experience in four days for us. We arrived with a small bag, containing a toothbrush, change of clothes, towel and a rain coat. To our surprize we found ourselves sleeping on wallpapered concrete, using a squatty and cleaning up with a bucket. It never really seemed to bother any of us much, if we had to do it all over again, we’d do it in a heart beat. During our time in Rompin, we travelled to near by villages, here we did teaching, singing and evangelism as well as handing out food and recieving meals. On Sunday, we attended and lead two church services, one for Chinese Malays, the other for Indian Malays. After church we headed to two villages, the last one we had a party with a big cultural meal. We fell in love with the people, many villages we went to twice and once we became a bit more familiar we were warmly greeted. Many of these remote villages had never seen white people.

He has called us to live life and live it abundantly, we do this everyday we walk in His promises, truth and choose to live them out. What He is asking us to give up is nothing compared to what He wants to give us. This month, we opened our hearts, and hands to receive healing, forgiveness and freedom so that we may be filled with new peace, joy and life. This life is irreplacable, there is no turning back.
Matt 10:8 “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
Our team has freely received, so freely we give.
