T-4 months, can you believe it????? In just F O U R short months, I will begin the journey that Jesus has so intricately set before me- Aren’t you thankful that we serve a God that pays attention to detail? Even the smalllllest of things, He is not surprised by. There is something so sweet about being apart of something bigger than you, one reason being that you do not have it do it all. What. A. Relief.

Speaking of relief, how many of my ladies like to get a pedicure after a long week of work? That would definitely be me. Men, keep reading because I think Jesus wants to teach you something through a pedicure story AND, no shame if you get them. 😉 Anyways- ladies or men, when you have gotten a pedicure, has anyone ever told you that your feet are beautiful? Unfortunately, probably not. One of my sweet friends will not even go get a pedicure because once, the lady doing hers, called all the workers around and laughed at her feet! Even though this is just a funny story about a spa day gone wrong, I think there is something to be learned from this story- Lets go to Romans.

Romans 10:14-15. If you have your bible handy, you can flip with me. If not, just follow along. 🙂 Paul is writing and he says, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET !!!!!!!!!!!

You see, your FEET are what get you places- they are what get you to PLACES and then to PEOPLE to tell others about Jesus. One of the most humbling stories in the Bible is the one where Jesus washes His disciples feet. Something such as a foot that is so dirty, so unsanitary, BUT JESUS, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, steps down and shows the disciples their value and worth. He becomes ONE with His people by doing something that seems so far fetched.

When people ask what day-to-day looks like on the Race, I don’t have much to base it off of except seeing others on the Race currently through social media. One teams ministry is serving in a local coffee shop WITH the locals and I think there is so much Gospel in that. Going on a mission trip is so much more than building a house or having a VBS- instead, it is truly becoming ONE with the people you are with because until you get to know them, until you “wash their feet,” until you hear their stories, they are not going to take you as seriously or hear the true intentions of your heart.

As some of you may know or may not know- I got a tattoo! I will link a picture below, but it is the Greek word for ‘Content,’ and it comes from Philippians 4:11-12. I tell you this because you aren’t always in a place that you want to invest in people and get to know them. Maybe you don’t get along with a certain co-worker, or they had shut you down previously when trying to share the Gospel. Maybe it is a classmate that is SO hard to love- let me encourage you, be ONE with them. Contentment has been a harrrdddd lesson and I don’t feel as though I have learned completely or ever will until I am on the other side of eternity, but BEING GOOD and WELL with where Jesus has placed you, always.

You are cherished, you are important, and your feet are BEAUTIFUL. Please message me if you have prayer request, if you have questions, or even if you are interested in donating prayerfully or financially. I am ONLY $1,747 away from being FULLY FUNDED- I am believing Jesus for these funds by September 1st, and I know He is FAITHFUL. Thank you for following my journey, friends!
